No risk, no glory
Today we will travel to one of these natural enclaves that despite the fact that they tell you about it, not to discover its beauty until you visit it. The beautiful city of Basin and province, an hour and a half little's Madrid (which allows to make day trips), contains a multitude of amazing places to enjoy the wonders that nature offers.
Today I present a magical place where you will enjoy the landscapethe stillness and the colors of the water and forest, in summer or in winter. We go to the birth of the Crow River.
It is next to the town of Vega del Codorno (more than one hour of basin) and was declared Natural Monument in 1999. Is nestled in the Natural Park the Serrania de Cuenca and the trip from the capital is very much worth: reservoirs, forests and mountains make the landscape that surrounds the road an authentic wonder. I would recommend you visit in winter, when cold pressed really and the ice is present at birth. That Yes, well abrigaditos because the cold that makes peeling of truth.
Water flows from a spring falls and covers calcareous rocks moss. Sometimes in winter these streams of water on the rocks freeze forming some incredibly beautiful landscapes. It has waterfalls and pools of crystalline water that also ice. The microclimate that has the area causes that there is high humidity, so the vegetation is very dense.
A itinerary created, a walk of one hour approximately (roundtrip) along which you can make beautiful photographs, so do not forget you camera... and memory cards
The trail part of the parking that is next to the road that comes from Vega del Codorno-enabled. Taking the road with the River on your left is reached after a walk of about 10 minutes to the waterfall dolostone, a great waterfall that falls over the water and one can reflect in its crystalline waters.
Water erosion has formed the limestone stalactites countless mossy so that everything looks great carpet Green that runs Crystal in the form of small streams.
As waters It falls in the form of small streams, almost as in thread, in winter temperatures facilitate freezing making to form scenery tale. It seems a great wall on which the ice magic weaves its own picture creating forms Whimsical of great beauty.
Following the marked path can reach the source of the river that is located in the upper part of the waterfall. We crossed the river by a bridge of wood and among willows, Linden trees, Holly, box trees, maples and Hazel continue the March through this incredible environment to reach the cradle of the Crow River. Water flows from the spring and a few meters it falls by the waterfall, but much nicer is the bottom, where you can see down the water, although since we came here, I could not go without seeing the birth.
The walk is very nice, but above all, beautiful. After a walk of about an hour in total you've won you largely a succulent meal at any restaurant in the area where, as in almost all Spain, eats of Vice. A good garlic soup will make you warm...
And for dessert... As a wealthy cakes bundt cakes in butter burned would you join? As we will...
