This easy recipe of mussels with bacon beer, I brought it many years ago in Brussels, where the mussels are a dish that must try if you visit the city. There are lots of ways to prepare them, as the Mussels with white wine cream sauce, but these are the fastest and most easy to prepare.

And this way of preparing them is an accessible fad, because it only takes 10 minutes and a few ingredients that always there in my fridge, which allows me to be able to prepare them without having to spend much time.

  • 1.5 kg of mussels
  • 50 ml of olive oil
  • 4 garlic gloves
  • 150 g of bacon
  • 1 bottle of beer Cruzcampo Gran reserva
  • 1 bunch of fresh parsley


Wash and clean the mussels of beards. Book.

In a saucepan, heat the oil please. Slice the garlic and FRY until browned.

Meanwhile cut the bacon into strips and add them to the hot oil when the garlic is browned. Let the bacon was cold until brown. Then add the beer and bring a boil.

Add mussels and toss. cover and let simmer for a few minutes until the mussels have opened.

Finely chop the parsley and add it to the pan. Well serve hot with a few slices of bread: you can not resist you dip bread.
