These zucchini fingers are the perfect way to eat zucchini for a snack or light meal. Accompanied by tzaxiki sauce they are delicious but you can also accompany them with tomato sauce and you will love them.

I have prepared them from zucchini but they are also great eggplant and even pumpkin (although the pumpkin has to be cooked or roasted before so that it is soft) or potatoes.

They are very crispy and when baked they are very light. You'll tell me what you think


  • 2 zucchini
  • 4 tablespoons grated grana padano cheese or breadcrumbs
  • 1 teaspoon of ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric
  • 1 teaspoon cilantro powder
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder (optional)
  • 1 egg

For the tzachiki sauce

  • 1 low-fat Greek yogurt
  • 1 bunch of fresh cilantro
  • 1 bunch of fresh good grass
  • 1 little fresh parsley
  • zest of 1 lemon
  • 1 teaspoon of ground cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon chili powder (optional)


Cut the zucchini into sticks: cut the zucchini lengthwise into 1 cm thick slices and then each slice into sticks.

On a plate mix the grated grana padano cheese with the spices.

Beat the egg and pass the sticks first through egg and then through grana padano cheese. L

We are placing you on a baking tray with a baking paper or in the castle of the air fryer with a baking paper.

Bake at 200 degrees for 20 minutes in the oven heat up and down turning it after 10 minutes. Let bake until crispy.

For the air fryer bake 8 minutes at 200 degrees. Turn the sticks over and bake another 5 minutes until crispy.

For the tzaxiki sauce, mix all the ingredients and serve the sauce as a dip to dip.

Tips and Tricks

  • Replace the spices with a tablespoon of curry powder
  • Replace zucchini with your favorite vegetable
  • You can have the prepared sticks frozen and bake them directly. In this case you will need a couple of minutes more
  • Difficulty: easy
