These ham bonbons are the recipe that my friend Isa (Isasaweis) chose to prepare in Santander a few weeks ago when we were together at Santander Foodie, a congress that brings together many people around gastronomy, food and cuisine. Already last year we were together and we had a great time but this year we have also been able to share the stage cooking together.

We had a great time as every time we get together, and I also brought this recipe that I have prepared as an appetizer to take before the grapes on New Year's Eve. They are super easy to prepare, they are delicious and you can also make them now and freeze them the day you are going to take them, which for me is always a plus.

I just hope you like them as much as at home. Merry Christmas and almost happy New Year

Ingredients

  • 100 g thinly sliced Serrano ham
  • 300 g cream cheese
  • 60 g marconas almonds
  • 6 medjoul dates
  • 1 bunch of chives

Directions

Take the cream cheese out of the fridge (so it will be easier to work it)

Chop the almonds, dates and chives.

In a bowl put the cream cheese together with the chopped ingredients and mix well.

Lightly grease the mold or ice cube tray. Place half a slice of Serrano ham in one of the holes covering the base well. Fill with the cream cheese and close the corners of the slice of ham forming a package. Repeat with all the holes in the mold. Cover with plastic wrap and take to the fridge.

When we are going to consume them, place each bonbon on a slice of toast and serve with a little chopped chives on top.
