For the French toast

  • 1 homemade brioche bread
  • 250 g condensed milk
  • the skin of an orange
  • the skin of a lemon
  • a stick of cinnamon
  • 3 eggs
  • 2 tablespoons butter

For the almond butter

  • 1 egg
  • 100 g condensed milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 100 g almond flour
  • a handful of sliced almonds
  • a little icing sugar

Cut the brioche into 2 cm slices and place them on a baking tray.

In a saucepan, heat the water and add the peel of an orange and lemon, condensed milk and a cinnamon stick.

Heat without boiling. Strain and pour over the bread. Let it rest for a few minutes, turning it over so that it soaks on all sides.

In a deep dish, beat the eggs. Pass the slices of bread dipped in the milk through the egg and then through a pan with a little butter until golden brown on both sides.

For the almond butter, beat an egg. Add the condensed milk and almond flour and mix.

Cover each slice with this cream and top with some sliced almonds. Bake at 180 degrees until the cream is cooked and golden brown on the edges (about 15 minutes)

Sprinkle with icing sugar and that's it!
